Garage Sale Treasure Becomes a Work of Art!

I LOVE to go to Garage Sales!  I never know what I will find.  It is always about the "hunt" for that special item that you can put to good use.  Not everything that I buy is used as it is meant to be.  An example is when I bought this great looking water fountain kit.  It had everything in it.  Metal plates that just snapped together, a liner and some fake grass and cat tails.

My husband and I had been thinking about re-doing the landscaping in our front yard.  We had 20 years of the same thing and I was ready for a change.  I got a REALLY good deal on this water fountain.  I knew I was NOT going to use this AS a fountain since I live in Michigan and our weather wouldn't allow a fountain to run all year round.  I just wanted the fountain walls which were metal plates .  We have a Weeping Cherry Tree in the front yard and thought it needed a little something.  My husband and I snapped the plates together to circle  around the tree.  It is just what I wanted!  I may consider painting the steel metal black in the future. I love my new addition to our front yard...it is a work of ART!

We did use the liner from the water fountain for another home project and will sell the fake grass and cat tails at my annual garage sale.
