Lasagna In My Newest Garage Sale Find~ Recipe Included

Lasagna Using my Newest Garage Sale Find!

                   Garage Sale Lasagna Pan

If you ask my kids what their favorite meal is they will say Spaghetti or Lasagna.  We are NOT Italian but when my kids were little the used to say they were since they LOVED Italian food so much.  So today I will make my mom's lasagna in my Princess House Lasagna Pan that I bought at a garage sale recently. My friends Traci and Melissa each had a Princess House Home Party this year and I remember looking at this pan but the price was more than I was willing to spend. I was elated when I came upon one in a garage sale.  Today is the first time that I will use my new pan.  It is bigger than my old Large Pyrex pan that I have used in the past.

Here are the ingredients gathered together to make my Lasagna ~                                                        (see end of the post for FULL recipe):

Ingredients for Lasagna WITHOUT Ricotta Cheese

I will brown the ground sirloin first.  I will also be using jar sauce today because I don't have time to make my own sauce.  Don't yell at me here.  REALLY, I don't have time to make it right now.  I was unsure how many jars of sauce I would need with this new pan.  I ended up using 3 jars of sauce.

For the Cheese mixture WITHOUT Ricotta Cheese:
2 eggs slightly beaten, add 16 oz sour cream, 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese, 2 Tablespoons Parsley Flakes and black pepper to taste. Mix together.  Now we are ready to assemble.

Lasagna WITHOUT Ricotta Cheese Recipe

1 lb ground sirlon ~Browned

     Cheese Mixture:
2 eggs slightly beaten
16 oz sour cream
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 Tablespoons Parsley Flakes
black pepper to taste.

3 Jars of Pasta sauce

Lasagna noodles (I use the NO Boil ones)
Mozzarella ~(I use the big ball of Mozzarella that I grate by hand)

~First open 1 jar of pasta sauce and pour just enough to cover the bottom of your pan.  Next layer your no boil noodles on top. *I have also used regular boil noodles here that I DID NOT Boil first. *
I assemble the cheese mixture into one bowl and then I dump the rest of the open pasta sauce into a big bowl, add the other 2 jars of sauce along with the browned meat and mix together.

Now assemble:

On top of the bottom layer of noodles I put 1/2 the cheese mixture down and spread.  Next comes the 1/2 the grated mozzarella.  Last is 1/2 the sauce mixture.  Repeat a layer of noodles and then rest of sauce, followed by rest of cheese mixture.  Top with remaining mozzarella.   Bake COVERED at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

  1. I've heard stories from your children that this time the lasagna was one of your best. Maybe it was the dish or maybe all the love you put into it?????

  2. Yes, I have to agree this was one of the BEST Lasagna that I have EVER made. Not sure if it was the pan or the EXTRA dash of LOVE that I put into it!
