A Garage Sale Find is the Perfect Dish to Make Susan's Homemade Baked Beans

                                             Stoneware Covered Casserround
I bought at a garage sale.

I found this Rachael Ray Stoneware Covered Casserround at a garage sale this past season.   I was excited since I had picked up a couple of other Rachael Ray utensils at other garage sales and liked them. This casserround is about $35.00 in the store.  You know I didn't even come close to playing that at a garage sale.

Record Album From A Garage Sale into a Clock

Homemade Gifts Repurposed From A Garage Sale Item!

My family has been making Christmas Gift for years for each other. It started when gift giving was getting out of hand.  We all made a promise that we would only MAKE the Christmas gifts for the family.  No price limits were set. The was left up to the maker of the gifts.  I have received many wonderful gifts over the years.  All are precious because my family made them especially for me.

I LOVED this record growing up!

Wall Art Repurposed from A Garage Sale Item

Wall Art From The Unexpected

IKEA Napkin Holder found at a Garage Sale

In my garage sale travels a couple of years ago I stumbled upon this IKEA Napkin holder. I really liked all the aspects of this piece.  It is simply a plastic square base with square cut outs and a flexible metal rod with a larger metal piece on the end.

5 Tips For Cleaning Out Stuff For A Garage Sale

Laundry Room BEFORE the Clean Out!

Laundry Room AFTER the Clean Out

Every year I hold a garage sale at my house that has 14 families in it, AND I also organize my Subdivision Garage Sale for the last 18 years.  It is one of the most successful Subdivision Garage Sales in the County. People come from all over Michigan, Ohio, Canada and elsewhere. I am often asked how do you have enough things to sell every year.  The answer is I am continually cleaning my cupboards/closets/rooms gathering things that we don't need or want anymore.  I always say that if I didn't clean out and have a garage sale every year, I would be a hoarder!

Garage Sale Finds Get NEW Life with Paint

                             Spray Paint

              Craft Paint and  Brush

I love to make something old new again with a little paint.  I don't consider myself a creative person in the sense of having an idea and knowing how to execute it.  The executing part is where I have problems.  I come from a long line of very creative and talented people but I think it stopped with me. I have realized that I am a wiz with a can of spray paint. I discovered this purely by accident when one day I just got up the nerve and picked up a can and started to paint. My advice is to grab a can of spray paint and start spraying something big like a metal chair.  You can practice getting the feel of how to spray paint.
