Amy's Spaghetti Sauce

Amy's Spaghetti Sauce

This recipe is taken from a couple of EXCELLENT cooks that I know.  If I taste something fantastic I always ask for the recipe.  I had 2 wonderful recipes that were sort of similar yet different, I decided to combine the best parts of each.  This is what I came up with.

The Ingredients You'll Need:

Onions and Garlic cooking together

Browning the ground sirloin

These cans will make the base of the sauce

This is all the ingredients in the stock pot ready to be cooked

Amy's Spaghetti Sauce

2 (28 oz) cans of Tomato Puree
1 (28 oz) can of Tomato Sauce
1 lb. Ground Sirloin
1 large Onion (chopped)
6-8 Cloves of Garlic (Peeled)
4 Tablespoons of Dried Parsley
1 tsp. Black Pepper
1/2 stick of Butter
4 Tablespoons Sugar

Add 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil to pan and heat.  Add the chopped onion.  Cook until they turn translucent.  Before onions are done cooking, add peeled garlic cloves to heat up.  DO NOT BURN GARLIC (this will make it taste bitter). Take out of pan and out into large stock pot.   Brown the ground Sirloin in the same pan that the onions were just in.  Drain and add to stock put.

Dump all 3 large cans of tomatoes into the stock pot.  Put on stove when come to boil, turn to low to simmer for 30 minutes.  Now add Butter, parsley, black pepper and sugar.  Continue to cook for 15 more minutes.
