Create A Cabinet Door Of Interest

Spruce Up Any Cabinet Door Using Things from Garage Sales

While remodeling one our bathrooms, my husband and I discovered a wall with unused space behind it that could be made into a little linen closet. Who wouldn't want more space in what is  the smallest room in my home?

While creating a new linen closet we soon realized that we needed a cabinet door.  My grandparents had some old cabinet doors and offered them to me. My very handy husband put 2 single doors together one on  top another to make 1 large cabinet door. While this new cabinet door did not match the other cabinet doors that I already had in that room I decided to paint all the cabinets black to have the uniformity I was looking for.

I wanted this bathroom to be very fun and creative.  I decided to paint the room red.  "Tomato Red" was the color I picked out.  My husband had to give the room 5 coats of paint to obtain the perfect look.

I wanted to give my new cabinet doors a little design style.  I found these 2 metal coils at a garage sale.  I thought they were cool when I bought them but did not have a purpose for them until this project.  I next went to the hardware store and discovered more metal that I would use on the cabinet design.  I placed all the pieces on the cabinet and then glued them on to the front.

I LOVE the results.  I get many compliments from people that use that bathroom.

 Garage $ale Groove!!
