Yummy Salted Caramel Bars~EASY!!

These are a real TREAT!!  I have made these a few times for different things and ALWAYS get RAVE Reviews!!  

Here are some of the ingredients you'll need to make these bars.

Line the 9x13 pan

Sugars come together

This is the cookie dough part of the bar.

Caramel Bits make this easy.  They melt easy with the Sweetened Condensed Milk

Take 1/2 the cookie dough and press into bottom of pan, then pour over the caramel mixture on top.

Spoon the rest of the cookie dough on top of Caramel mixture.

                                      This is it after it comes out of oven.

Sprinkle Course Sea Salt on top.

Can't wait to cut them into bars!!


Yummy Salted Caramel Bars

1 cup butter, softened
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 1/2 cups flour
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
(1) 11 oz. bag of Caramel Bits
1 teaspoon Course Sea Salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Line 9 x 13 pan with foil and liberally coat with cooking spray.  

In a bowl beat butter with both sugars until fluffy (about 2 minutes).  Add eggs, vanilla and baking soda.  Mix well and scrap the sides of the bowl. Then turn mixer on low and add flour.  Beat to combine and then add chocolate chips.  

Press 1/2 of the cookie dough mixture into the 9 x 13 pan.  

In a small sauce pot, add the condensed milk and caramel bits over medium heat continue stirring until smooth.  While hot pour over cookie dough mixture then spoon the rest of the cookie dough on top.  

Bake 25-30 minutes.  After the baking is completed and just out of the oven, top with course Sea Salt.  

Cool Completely before you cut into bars.  These FREEZE great!!
