EASY FRESH RASPBERRY PIE (NO Jello USED)!

Fresh Raspberry Pie...like Grandma used to make!

It is RASPBERRY SEASON!!! I am going to make a PIE!!

Here the ingredients for the Raspberry Pie!  I would normally buy my raspberries from local farmers but I caught a deal at the grocery store that couldn't be beat!

YUM!

Don't judge me... I use store bought prepared pie crust!

Bake the crust first and let cool

Clean your berries in a bowl of water and then put on paper towel to dry.

Some recipes for this pie called for jello.  NOT THIS ONE!  Make a Raspberry puree

Cook the puree on stove to thicken

Fill pie shell with FRESH WHOLE Raspberries

Add the puree to the raspberries and you have a DELISH PIE!!

Enjoy!!

FRESH RASPBERRY PIE (NO JELLO used)

1 Pastry for unfilled one-crust pie

Filling:
6 cups FRESH Raspberries (cleaned)
1 cup Sugar
3 Tablespoons Cornstarch
1/2 cup water

Bake and cool pie crust in a 9 inch pie plate.

In small bowl, crush enough raspberries to make 1 cup of a puree.  In a medium sauce pan, combine sugar and cornstarch.  Add crushed raspberries and water.  Cook until mixture boils and thickens, stirring constantly!  Cool slightly.  Spoon remaining whole raspberries into pie shell; pour over cooled raspberry puree.  Refrigerate for 3 hours or until set.  YUM!!

Enjoy!
